Defining communication as invitation supports the needs-based regulation of breath and sound and facilitates a constructive relational field. In my career teaching and coaching Alexander Technique enhanced communication with actors, musicians, and professional speakers, I have uncovered that sometimes the cause of a vocal issue lies not only in the mechanics of the vocal mechanism, but also in the underlying beliefs of the communicator. I will offer an information –infused workshop with some of the ways I approach this in teaching and coaching.
